…. warring gangs in the Cassava Piece area of St. Andrew have prepared death lists (hit lists), and dancehall artiste Mavado is reportedly one of the names on one of these lists. Mavado is from Cassava Piece, and proudly proclaims this in almost all his songs, however it is said that he is affiliated with a crew which is based on one section of Glen Drive in Cassava Piece, and they are in conflict with a crew from another section.

Jah know star, it seems like there’s no bright light in sight for the gangster for life.

Getting locked up, getting robbed, getting getting getting out of control.

It’s interesting to see, no matter how much these dancehall artists acquire, they can’t seem to get the gully out of their life.

Let’s hope for Mavado’s sake that no such death list exists and he sees more days of singing about how gangster for life he is.
